Mathew was born and raised in the heart of Northern Tanzania in the village of Arusha. After receiving both primary and secondary education in Arusha, he attended the School of Tourism Hospitality and Tour Guide Management.

He has worked with various tour companies in Arusha which has allowed him to gain extensive experience in the local tourism industry. He was dedicated to climbing Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa) and worked as a safari guide before venturing out on his own to open Wild Root Safari and Adventures.

SUNRISE SAFARIS

We offer early morning (before sunrise) game drives to exclusively witness predators in action and herbivores in their more active states. We’ll pack a breakfast to enjoy in the pristine ambience of the bush while the package tours are having their “buffet” meals back at the lodge or campsites.

UNLIMITED GAME DRIVES

Each safari offers unlimited game drives with no mileage restrictions and exclusive access to the most secluded and wildlife abundant areas in Tanzania. Most other companies operate shorter, limited game drives and never end up making it far from the lodge – or other tourists.

PERSONALISED EXPERIENCE
