7 Days Tanzania Experience


Overview:

Tarangire park for game drives, Lake manyara for game drives, Serengeti plains for game drives, Ngorongoro crater& coffee walking.

Day 1:

After breakfast we depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south.



Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. Day 2:

After breakfast head to Lake Manyara National Park. We will have our lunch boxes in the park and continue with game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, Later slowly head out of the park and overnight at Ngorongoro farm house. Day 3:

After breakfast head towards Serengeti NP ( km 205) via the land of the Masai Ngorongoro Conservation area. Explore the land of the Masai and wild animals grazing together with Masai cattle. Continue to Serengeti with an enroute game drive, enter into Serengeti NP at the first gate and also the boundary between Ngorongoro and Serengeti NP. Enjoy the lunch boxes at the main gate known as Naabi gate. There is an observations trail over viewing the endless plains of Serengeti. The park covers the area of 14,763 and divided into four parts: center, east, south, and western. Continue with the game drive until evening and have an overnight at Angata tented camp. Day 4:

Today we wake up for early morning game drives and explore the animals doing their aerly activities and be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. We do an after breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The visitor’s centre not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive.

This nicely designed centre, offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, later overnight at the same accommodation. Dinner, breakfast, hot lunch

Day 5:

After breakfast we continue with the game drives into Serengeti plain and explore fauna and flora found in this area, Cheetah and lions are found in this area as well as many species of fauna and flora, We will enjoy the lunch park in mid of the bush exploring the real African savannah and its animals. Later afternoon slowly drive to Ngorongoro conservation area and pass by the masai boma and experience the masai dancing as well as learning about their culture. After the masai experience later heading to the lodge and overnight at ngorongoro sopa lodge located on the crater rim . Dinner, Breakfast, lunch


Day 6:

After breakfast we drive to ngorongoro crater and descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Late afternoon drive farm house lodge for relaxation and overnight. Dinner, breakfast, lunch.

Day 7:

Today after leisurely breakfast we do the coffee walking and experience how is coffee processed and later enjoy your hot lunch at the lodge later driver back to Arusha to connect with your flight either from Arusha airport or to Kilimanjaro airport on board to you next destination.
